Sea Freight

Sea Freight

Sea freight, also known as ocean freight, is a method of transporting goods via cargo ships across the world’s oceans. It’s a cost-effective and reliable option for transporting large quantities of goods, especially when time is not a critical factor. Cargo is typically loaded into standardized containers, either as Full Container Loads (FCL), where one shipper’s goods fill an entire container, or Less than Container Loads (LCL), where multiple shippers’ goods are consolidated into one container. These containers are then loaded onto cargo ships that navigate established maritime routes to various ports worldwide. Sea freight services offer flexibility for different types of cargo, including bulk, breakbulk, or containerized shipments, and can accommodate diverse industries, from manufacturing and retail to automotive and beyond. While sea freight might take longer than air freight, it’s a preferred choice for transporting large volumes of goods economically and efficiently across international borders.

If you have some flexibility with the delivery window, shipping by sea is the best option as it is the most cost-effective and affordable. If you have a larger shipment, it will be sent through a Full Container Load (FCL). If you have a small shipment that only fills part of the container, your items will be consolidated with other customers going to the same destination.
